Technology Spotlight – Vision Inspection System

As a technology-integrated manufacturer, Woodland Plastics is always on the lookout for new technologies & innovations to improve our manufacturing process. One example of an integrated technology is a vision inspection system used for an automated secondary inspection operation.

Using the vision inspection system, Woodland Plastics is able to provide a cost efficient, automated inspection process for small parts with large volumes that would be costly to inspect manually. The biggest advantage to the vision inspection system is excellent repeatability, eliminating the possibility and potential for operator error. Additionally, the vision inspection system can be programed to measure a variety of dimensions and part characteristics, including ID, OD, flash on parts, and short shots.
