Functionality & Performance
In addition to high aesthetic properties, molded thermosets offer many performance benefits to match up with the requirements of appliance applications. High heat deflection, or heat resistance, provides thermoset components with dimensional stability in high operating temperatures, useful for components within outdoor grill, oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and other cookware applications that may reach higher temperatures. Additionally, applications exposed to an open flame may require a flame retardant or UL-certified flame rating. Some thermoset formulations offer excellent UV resistance properties, allowing parts to keep their color and physical properties after spending countless hours in outdoor environments.
